100 Spanish verbs to rule them all!
As I explained with my 100 Highest Frequency Spanish Words resource, the Spanish language contains over 93,000 words, but the 100 most used words are estimated to cover 50% of spoken Spanish and the top 1000 words cover over 80% of language. This is yet another example of the 80/20 rule: a small amount of effort yields most of the results.
Whilst few of the top 100 words in Spanish are verbs, many of the top 1000 are! To help you to focus your energy on verbs that are worth the effort, whose conjugations grace daily conversations, newspaper articles and WhatsApp messages alike, I have put together a cheat sheet of the most used and most useful 100 Spanish Verbs.
My favourite thing about this resource, which did mean copying and pasting 100 URLs, is that every verb has a link to take you to its conjugations in every single tense! Many of these verbs are irregulars, so do check out their conjugation pages to see how their stems and endings behave in the different tenses.
