By enrolling in a course or joining the private lesson programme with Spanish with James, you agree to the following terms of business.

 1. General Overview

• “Spanish with James” is a trading name of Sturt & Schmidt, a family-run partnership formed in 2026 in the UK.

• “Spanish with James”, “we”, “our” or “us” refers to the provider of Spanish language learning content and services.

• “You” or “the student” refers to any user purchasing or accessing our online courses or private lessons.

• These terms apply to all purchases made via our website and cover both online courses and private one-to-one lessons.

Part A: Online Courses

1. Access & Content

• Upon purchase or subscription, you’ll receive access to your chosen course(s) through our website.

• Access remains valid for as long as your membership is active.

• All course materials (videos, quizzes, downloads) are for your personal educational use only. Sharing or distributing content is prohibited and subject to UK copyright laws.

2. Payments

• Payments are taken via Stripe or PayPal and may be on a monthly or one-time basis, depending on the course or membership selected.

• You are responsible for maintaining up-to-date payment information.

• Failed payments may result in temporary suspension of course access until resolved.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

• You can cancel your membership at any time via your account area.

• Due to the digital nature of the content, we do not offer refunds once access has been granted unless required by law.

• If a technical error or billing mistake occurs, we will endeavour to resolve it as quickly as possible.

4. Course Updates

• We may update or improve course content from time to time. Your membership will include access to any updates relevant to your enrolled courses.

Part B: Private Lessons.⁠ ⁠

Lesson Bookings

• Private lessons can be booked via the online booking system or with a member of our team.
• Lessons are delivered online via Google Meet, Zoom or a similar platform, at the time specified on the calendar invite post-booking.
• It is your responsibility to ensure you have booked the correct time for your time zone and to be on time to your lesson.

2.⁠ ⁠Payments

• Lessons are paid for in advance, usually via the booking system. Card payments and Apple Pay are the accepted forms of payment.
• When a member of our team manually books your lessons , bank transfer or international bank transfer is often requested.
• No lessons are booked until payment is received, unless expressly stated otherwise at our discretion.

3.⁠ ⁠Cancellations & Rescheduling

• Cancellations are not permitted, but the lesson can be rescheduled provided this is done at least 48 hours prior to the lesson.
• If the tutor needs to cancel or reschedule, as much notice as possible will be given, and you will not lose your session.

4.⁠ ⁠No-Shows

• If you do not attend your lesson without prior notice, it will be considered a no-show and no refund will be given.

General Terms (Apply to All Services)

1. Behaviour & Expectations

• Respectful communication is expected at all times. We reserve the right to remove access to lessons or courses for any abusive or inappropriate behaviour.

2. Intellectual Property

• All course and lesson materials remain the intellectual property of Spanish with James (a trading name of Sturt & Schmidt) and may not be reproduced or redistributed.

3. Technical Requirements

• You are responsible for ensuring you have a reliable internet connection and access to a device suitable for online learning.

• We are not liable for lesson or course access issues due to problems with your internet connection or devices.

4. Data Protection

• Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We never sell or misuse your information.

• All personal data is handled with confidentiality, security and strict compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

5. Amendments

• We may amend these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website and take effect immediately.
